Pool House

Our Sunday was spent by Miss Green Thumb Lauri planting flowers and Me, Mr. Pool Dude, working tirelessly to improve our homestead. Alas, I have no pictures of Miss Green Thumb planting flowers but I do have the most mind-numbingly boring pictures of my work in the pool pump house. The picture above shows all the fittings dry-fit, and I am planning on running my design past the Pool Gods at Jersey Chemicals to see if it is viable. If not, more work ahead...

First Studio Shoot

Before puppy class on Thursday night Webster had his first studio shoot. He thought it was cool that we got to go upstairs to a new part of the house!

A model's life is often boring and unrewarding...

Webster liked the studio - lots of things to climb over and under. For his first time, he was a natural!

2nd Puppy Class

Hey! Your hairs are longer than mine!

Websters are getting very big very fast.

Umm, are you a dog??

Why, this is fascinating! The good thing is that it's happening to the other dog...

A new little buddy with spots who's my size!

Webster meets his extended family!

On Sunday, Webster had a visit from our close friends (and virtual family) Debbi and Barry, along with their granddaughter, Lexi (daughter of our dear friends, Casey and Steve).

Webster instantly took to them, and not merely because they were bearing puppy toys so thoughtfully provided by Lexi's mom and dad. :-)

Many thanks to Debbi, Barry, Casey, Steve and Lexi for welcoming Webster to his extended family!

A few days before we brought our new best friend, Webster home, I received a package from my dear friend and co-worker, Linda Kitchen; she had been patiently listening for months to all our eager anticipation about having a new puppy in our family.

In the package were several puppy toys and all natural treats. Since we'd been focusing on crates and crate pads and leashes and puppy food, toys and treats were scarce in the house when Webster arrived. So many thanks to Linda for her thoughtfulness in sending the package to Webster and us - each new toy triggers a new round of fun and games for us all!

Sunny Day, First Obedience Class

Big back yards can be very scary to little dogs.

OK, I'll come off the step, but just for a minute.

What, I don't have anything in my mouth.

Did I hear someone say I'm drop-dead gorgeous?

OK, I'll try a little exploring.

Someone told me I would grow into my ears and feets.

What was THAT noise?? :(

Yay! Mommy's home! :)

A natural fiber snack.

My first puppy obedience class. I'm being held by my new friend, trainer Kathy Santo, and am permitting humans of all shapes and sizes to adore me.

Wow! I didn't know we were having chicken at puppy class! How cool is that?

After a long day of meeting new people, learning new things and generally being the most spectacular dog ever (IMHO) I apparently crashed on the floor. (I don't remember a thing...)

Time to Take the Dog Back ;)

On Sunday we went back to the Hartheimer's so we all could attend the official "Puppies Going to Their New Homes" ceremony. Pictured are six of the puppies with their new families (from left) Matilda, Mr. Red (possibly Mason), Maggie, Jersey, Mia Belle, Trudy and Mr. Blue (possibly Webster). All but 2 pups went to their new homes. Jersey will go home to Tennessee next weekend (she’s being held by the breeder, Linda, in pink in the center of the picture) and Maggie’s family (behind Linda) will come back in 2 weeks to take her home after their vacation.

Our Mr. Blue (Webster?) and Mr. Red (Mason?) were ecstatic to see each other and played and wrestled all over the front lawn for hours.

Miss Purple (Trudy) decided to crawl on top of our Mr. Blue and snuggle one last time before she went home with her new family - the Alfieri's - on Long Island. We have already made plans with them to schedule some play dates for the two pups very soon :)

Our New Best Friend

The two boys (Mr. Blue and Mr. Red) get in some last serious playtime
before going to their new homes. (Our Mr. Blue is on the left.)

Mr. Blue

The Weimie ears :)

First night at home - it's kind of scary...

It's been a long day -
a little nap in the office before more squeaking...

The official dog corner in the kitchen suits our new little friend perfectly.

Sometimes, the mommy's lap is better :)
